The Ivanenkos — a mother, father and their 10 children in Ukraine — had their lives upended when the war began in 2022. Overnight, everything they had worked hard to build was threatened. Their days became filled with worry: Would they have food? Warmth? Safety?

Through emergency response efforts led by Rise Against Hunger and our global partners, the Ivanenko family received food kits, warm clothing and essential supplies. During the holidays, each child received a Christmas gift — a moment of joy that reminded them they were not forgotten.
