It’s election night, 2026.

Imagine this, John:

It’s election night, 2026.

Democrats are watching results come in from across the country, hoping to retake the U.S. House. The margins are razor-thin. Every seat matters.

And once again, it all comes down to California.

However, John King at CNN’s “magic wall” is pointing something surprising out. Republicans are holding their own in seats that Democrats took for granted after new maps passed with Proposition 50.

And when the final seats are called, Republicans hold just enough California districts to keep control of the House.

Speaker Mike Johnson gives a stunning victory speech, and Donald Trump has two more years with FULL control.

How did this happen?!

After winning Proposition 50, grassroots Democrats in California assumed the job was done. Organizing slowed. Voter contact tapered off. Republicans, meanwhile, never let up.

They flooded California with dark money. They defined the races early. They snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

It’s devastating.

But here’s the good news: We can still stop this nightmare scenario from becoming reality.

We are just 72 hours away from our December 31 FEC End-of-Quarter filing deadline. And if we can raise another $10,451 before midnight on December 31, CADEM’s organizing efforts will remain fully funded heading into this critical next phase. Will you pitch in?

Proposition 50 gave us a chance. It did not guarantee a victory.

Taking back the House requires follow-through all across California.

Republicans are counting on Democrats to relax after a big win. They’re betting we won’t show up with the same urgency when the headlines fade.

Let’s prove them wrong! 💪
