Dear John,
Recent News
As this year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the work we’ve done and where we’re headed. Washington still has a long way to go, but there is real progress to report for the folks back home, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve you during the first session of the 119th Congress.
Over the past year, we’ve focused on getting costs down and putting families back in a stronger position. I supported a historic tax relief package that ends taxes on tips and overtime, strengthens the Child Tax Credit, and provides seniors with a 6,000 dollar deduction, putting an estimated 10,700 dollars back into the pockets of the average Texas family. Working alongside President Trump, we cut red tape, strengthened our electric grid, and helped bring gas prices down to their lowest point in four years. We also rolled back unnecessary regulations that were slowing down our supply chain, contributing to the first overall price decline since 2020. There’s more work to do, but I’m encouraged by the progress we’ve made and optimistic about what lies ahead. As we move into the new year, my focus remains on turning impactful ideas into lasting results for the people of our district and our country.
As we take time to reflect on 2025, I encourage you to slow down and reconnect with what matters most, time with family and friends. From my family to yours, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with health, happiness, and peace. Thank you for the opportunity to serve in Congress and Represent the people of our District.
