building a safer future where there are fewer crises
Hi John,
I choose to support WAVE because they don't just talk about gun violence. With help from people like you across the state, WAVE invests in young people and empowers them to become leaders in the movement to prevent gun violence.
Let me introduce myself: I’m Savanna, one of the newest members of the WAVE staff, and I’m honored to join you and so many others in the work to create a safer, more united Wisconsin.
WAVE is committed to elevating youth voices and equipping young people with the skills to advocate for change. I am part of a generation that grew up with active shooter drills in school–a generation with so many people who stepped up and spoke out on this issue while at a young age. This is how I know that real progress happens when youth are actively involved. After all, they will ultimately be the ones shaping the future for the generations to come.
Gun violence is a part of life for many people, even though it shouldn't be.It is a public health crisis, but together we can change this. When we stand united in purpose and shine a light on solutions—through advocacy, education, and community engagement—we truly can save lives.
For me, this work matters because it's not just about responding to crises; it's about building a safer future where there are fewer crises - and I want to be a part of that change. Will you be a part of that change today?
