Dear friends and supporters of Critical Resistance (CR),
This year, CR persisted organizing under rapidly intensifying conditions of repression and criminalization. In the face of a landscape increasingly inhospitable to movement organizing, CR continued to run impactful campaigns, conduct inside-outside solidarity efforts, create and distribute political organizing tools, offer political education, and make connections across movements. We are grateful to be part of a movement ecosystem hellbent on using our people power to combat conditions of authoritarianism.
We are grateful for the steadiness and generosity of you - our community. You all, who join us at campaign mobilizations, prisoner solidarity events, movie screenings and panels, and political education workshops. You, who volunteer your time, effort, and funds, to ensure CR can continue our work in growing abolition globally. We couldn't do this work without you!
Let’s face it – the Right has many resources at their disposal, and they get funded reliably - through experimentation, failures, and (unfortunate for us) successes. Movement organizations do so much great work to combat these forces of repression, with a small fraction of the resourcing. Can you imagine what we could do if all our organizations were resourced that reliably and over the long-haul? In this time of intensifying authoritarianism and austerity, our liberation cannot wait!
We have relied on your support before, and we are relying on you now.
If you are unsettled when people are criminalized and separated from their communities...
If you know imprisonment, policing, and surveillance do not make communities safer...
If you see the benefit of any of CR’s campaigns, projects, and prisoner solidarity work...
If you've utilized CR's organizing tools and political education in your day-to-day...
...then we ask that you continue showing up for CR and abolition!
This December, we have shared lots about our work in 2025, and we hope you will reaffirm your commitment to abolition with a gift to help us forge on in 2026. We ask that you continue showing up for PIC abolitionist organizing to keep this work going in the year to come - volunteer with us, come out to an upcoming event or workshop, share our organizing tools, and donate to keep our PIC abolitionist work strong for years to come!
As we approach the end of 2025 and have reached over 50% of our year-end fundraising goals across the organization, we ask once more that you help us across the finish line and donatetoyour nearest CR local chapter, The Zachary Project (an impactful mutual aid project), the organization at large, or subscribe to The Abolitionist newspaper to support the organization in carrying resistance against the PIC forward. No gift is too small or too large, and whether you donate online or by check, donor-advised fund, stock proceeds, or through the various ways you can give to CR, we appreciate the contribution. THANK YOU for your ongoing support of CR's PIC abolitionist campaigns and movement building. We invite you to make a monthly gift or provide a one-time donation this December to sustain this work and more through 2026 and onward.
For over 25 years, your contributions of time, effort, and funds have empowered CR to run campaigns against policing, imprisonment, and surveillance; create tools to strengthen abolitionist organizing and analysis; build and strengthen connections with movement partners across our interconnected fights; and more.
We are over 50% of the way to our year-end fundraising goals, and we ask that you take us over the finish line and make a donation before we close out 2025. We appreciate donations of your time, effort, and funds to sustain our organizing, this year and the next!
