Dear CV Friend,

A few days ago we sent this provocative tweet:

“Catholics, start paying attention.”

Why?

The tweet was in response to yet another Catholic church set ablaze. This time it was a beautiful cathedral in France built centuries ago. The pattern is clear. The Catholic Church is now under attack.

And it’s likely to get worse -- unless we act.

First it was statues of Confederate leaders. Then rioters began attacking statues of Christopher Columbus, Frederick Douglass, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, St. Louis XIV, and more. And in California they violently toppled statues of St. Junipero Serra -- a Catholic saint who founded missions throughout California, serving and protecting the local natives, while spreading the Faith.

But the violence didn’t stop there.

Just two weeks ago a Florida man drove his minivan into Queen of Peace Catholic Church -- while parishioners were inside waiting for Mass to begin. He got out of his car, began pouring out gasoline, and tried to set the church on fire!

In other towns, a statue of Mary was set on fire. Someone beheaded a statue of Jesus. Nazi swastikas were spray-painted on the gravestones of Dominican friars. And just recently, peaceful Catholics were assaulted in St. Louis while praying the Rosary.

These aren’t accidents. These are deliberate attacks against Catholics.

What’s the connection? Aren’t the mobs protesting the police? Why the Catholic Church?

HERE’S WHY: The recent spate of protests, violence, anarchy, and more is about much more than reining in excessive policing and “systemic racism.” Many Americans now realize that the growing tensions in our country are about Western civilization itself.

That’s right, the Judeo-Christian Western tradition that gave rise to the United States of America is now under attack. And everything from religion to notions of work, family, morality, music, art, liturgy, and more are now deemed “offensive” and must go. No wonder Catholic Churches are being attacked! Mobs are not attacking any Unitarian churches. The Catholic Church is the source of the tradition they hate. And they will not rest until it is destroyed.

Every election features some form of this debate. But 2020 has put the big issues front and center. As surprising as it may seem, the foundational principles that undergird all that we cherish are at stake this November.

And the truth is: Joe Biden is allied against us.

How can Joe Biden claim to be Catholic and yet be so indifferent to these attacks on our faith, and our country?

Unlike the Trump Administration, Joe Biden has said NOTHING about the ongoing violence and attacks on Catholic churches -- even statues and images of the Blessed Mother.

Because he knows who butters his bread. And he’s spent nearly 50 years in politics putting the pursuit of power and his ego ahead of what’s good and true.

Let’s face it, Joe Biden is your typical “Catholic” politician who makes sure he’s seen with ashes on his forehead during Lent, but then backstabs the Church whenever it is convenient. He’s flipped on nearly every issue that matters: the life of unborn children (including the Hyde Amendment), marriage, biology, conscience, patriotism...

...and most recently, he pledged that, if elected, he would reignite the Obama-Biden administration’s assault on the Little Sisters of the Poor, and force them to pay for abortion drugs.

It’s clear: Joe Biden has joined the revolution to “transform America” -- including the Catholic Church.

But we can stop him.

Our goal over the next 3+ months is to wake up every Catholic voter.

And to do what Catholics for centuries have done --

Defend our Church.
