Friend,

Just two months ago, I took President Trump and billionaire
Betsy DeVos to court over their attempt to deprive thousands of
Washington college students of critical aid provided through the
Coronavirus Aid, Relief & Economic Security (CARES) Act.

We won -- and they were forced to back down.

But now, they're at it again.

This time, the president and DeVos are diverting critical relief
funding away from public schools and low-income students and into
private institutions. This is not what Congress intended and it's
unlawful.

I filed a lawsuit challenging this illegal attempt to deprive
Washington's public schools of the emergency funds they need.
Will you sign on to stand with me as I take President Trump and
Secretary DeVos to court over their attempt to divert funding
from our public schools and low-income students?

Congress allocated these funds to provide public elementary and
secondary schools with essential resources like personal
protective equipment, cleaning essentials, technology for
distance learning, meals, and more.

This attempt by the president and billionaire Betsy DeVos to
reduce the amount of federal relief public schools receive to
help low-income students succeed isn't just harmful -- it's
illegal.

To protect Washingtonians we must take action again to ensure
that CARES Act funding is allocated as Congress intended.
