It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... for the White House. Just as Democrats tried to force a return to economic policy with their "affordability" rhetoric, the Bureau of Economic Analysis delivered a forceful riposte ([link removed] ) .
The US economy grew 4.3% in real gross domestic product in Q3 (annualized), the best quarter of growth in the past two years. It exceeds the 3.8% growth in Q2 that had largely been seen as driven by rebalancing of the trade deficit. It's the first BEA analysis of overall economic activity since September, thanks to the Schumer Shutdown:
Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 4.3 percent in the third quarter of 2025 (July, August, and September), according to the initial estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 3.8 percent.
Due to the recent government shutdown, this initial report for the third quarter of 2025 replaces the release of the advance estimate originally scheduled for October 30 and the second estimate originally scheduled for November 26.

US Carries Out Strikes on Nigeria Targeting Islamic State Militants
The president claims strikes targeted militants in the country’s north-west, accusing the group of attacking Christian communities
Donald Trump has said the US carried out airstrikes against Islamic State militants in north-west Nigeria on Thursday, after spending weeks decrying the group for targeting Christians.
The president said in a post on his Truth Social platform: “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!
“I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing.”

Tim Walz Called Out Over Viral Video of MN Daycare Tied to Millions With No Kids and a Misspelled Sign
A viral video highlighting the Quality Learning Center in Minneapolis has reignited scrutiny of alleged fraud in Minnesota's child care programs under Governor Tim Walz (D).
The clip, posted to social media accounts by independent videographer Nick Shirley, shows that the daycare in question, which Fox ([link removed] ) News ([link removed] ) reports is licensed to care for up to 99 children, was seriously bereft of children.
"There’s no one here," Shirley says in the video.
At one point, he and another man approach the building, prompting a woman there to shout to others, "Don’t open up. It’s ICE."
"Go away. You’re not welcome here. Shame on you," the woman states.
Shirley notes that, according to his research, the center was the beneficiary of a good chunk of taxpayer funds in the 2025 fiscal year, yet couldn't even take the time to spell the word "learning" correctly on their sign.
