At their December board meeting, the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) released the draft of the Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2027. Each year, the CPRA produces the Annual Plan to provide updates on the coastal projects set out in the Coastal Master Plan, which serves as the state’s guiding document for coastal restoration activities – outlining the design, implementation, and operation of restoration projects that represent billions of dollars of investment.Â
Now more than ever, public input is critical to this process. Residents are urged to review the plan to find those projects that will both protect and restore their communities and coast.Â
At this important moment, Louisianians have a meaningful opportunity to share their voices and help shape a plan that truly reflects the needs of our communities for generations to come.
