Last week I announced my support for a Millionaires' Tax. It is specifically for those who make more than $1 million in income in a single year.
We must use the gains from the Millionaire's Tax to return money directly to working families and small business owners who have been hit hard by the affordability crisis.
For example, we must expand the Working Families Tax Credit, which provides a direct cash payment to those low income Washingtonians who qualify. And small businesses are the backbone of our economy. We need to make sure we provide tax relief for these important job creators in our state.
My proposal requires that a significant portion of the revenue must go back into the hands of Washingtonians. The income inequality we face has only been exacerbated by Donald Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy. We can do better and we can stand up for working families and small businesses.
