With 3 days left, we’re still short of our year-end goal.

Courier

John,

We’ll get straight to it — because this is one of those moments where clarity matters.

First, the good news.

Over the past month, thousands of grassroots supporters have chipped in to support COURIER.

December engagement with our news content has been off the charts.

Our reporting this week alone reached tens of millions across our social media platforms, and it’s clear that people value independent journalism that doesn’t flinch or fold.

That momentum matters. It tells us this work resonates — and that this community understands what’s at stake.

Now, the bad news.

Even with that support, we’re still more than $15,000 short of our $75,000 year-end goal.

That doesn’t mean catastrophe-level bad. But it does mean putting real limits on our reporting.

Falling short affects how much reporting we can sustain in the first quarter of next year — how quickly we can respond, how deeply we can cover key stories, and how much ground we can hold while others continue to retreat.

That’s why we’re asking, plainly:

If you’re able, would you consider chipping in $25 or $50 before the year ends to help close the gap?

Chip in $25 before the year ends

→ Or give what works for you

Whether you give today, later, or simply keep reading and supporting our work, thank you. You are the reason COURIER exists — and the reason we keep showing up when it matters most.

With gratitude,
The COURIER Team
