Has this past year felt like a decade to you, too? It’s been a lot to say the least, but Democratic Attorneys General across the country stepped up time and again to defend our rights. 

Here are some highlights of the year:

1. Dem AGs filed suit less than 24 hours after Trump’s first slew of unconstitutional executive orders and won a preliminary injunction to protect birthright citizenship.
2. Democratic AGs successfully blocked an unlawful federal spending freeze of trillions of dollars allocated for health care, public safety, schools, and more. 
3. Democratic AGs stopped Elon Musk and DOGE from accessing our private data, including Social Security numbers and bank account information.
4. When Trump tried to send the National Guard into Portland, AG Dan Rayfield sued, and blocked the deployment.
5. Democratic AG-elect Jay Jones flipped the AG seat from red to blue in Virginia!

And that’s just a small fraction of what they’ve accomplished this year. 

Some of these wins are permanent, while others are temporary as cases continue in the court system — but Democratic AGs will be there every step of the way to fight for our rights.
