Dear friend,

As threats to democracy grow, MapLight remains a bright light, expanding money in politics transparency across the United States. While continuing to provide Denver, Minneapolis, Maine, and California with public, transparent access, we're thrilled to announce another successful launch of a new campaign finance system this year for the City of Lakewood, Colorado.

We'd also like to highlight some additional accomplishments from 2025, and some exciting upcoming projects:

  • MapLight will be providing campaign finance transparency software to the State of Hawaii and the State of Colorado, supporting these governments that serve more than 7 million people.

  • For the first time, Denver residents will have access to more election and campaign data in Spanish. MapLight released a Spanish language version of SearchLight, Denver City and County’s campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics disclosure platform.

Even in the midst of troubling attacks on our governmental systems, we want to recognize our successes in 2025 and our small team’s dedicated commitment. Please join us in our mission to increase public and transparent accessibility in money in politics.

As Denver Clerk and Recorder López recently praised,

“MapLight continues to prove why they are leaders in transparency and citizen engagement around the influences of money in politics.”

We appreciate your valued support towards expanding transparency in political funding in 2026 by donating to MapLight today.
