John,

We have some important questions about plastic pollution:

Can we imagine a world where we strive to create less waste? Or will we keep prioritizing single-use plastic, and accept centuries of pollution?

Can we envision a world where microplastics no longer threaten our health? Or will we continue to prioritize convenience?

Will we face the problem head on? Or are we going to leave all of this plastic pollution for future generations?

We want to make sure you have the chance to join us in moving our country beyond plastic before our End of Year Drive comes to a close.

We'd love for you to be part of this work. Will you join us? Donate today.

End of Year Drive Status

<strong>Goal: $100,000
Deadline: Midnight, December 31, 2025
Current Progress: 52% to goalCan you imagine what would happen if someone dumped a truckload of plastic in the middle of your neighborhood? It's hard to imagine, but the equivalent of 2,000 truckloads of plastic is dumped into the ocean every single day.[1]

We know that plastic pollution won't fix itself -- and here's what we can achieve together, John:

* We can win legislation: More than a third of Americans live in a state with restrictions on at least one kind of plastic thanks, in no small part, to supporters like you.[2]

* We can clean up our communities: Together, we're cracking down on the pervasive pollution of plastic pellets (or "nurdles"). We recently helped organize hundreds of volunteers across five continents to find tens of thousands of these pellets.

* We can convince companies to do better: We're raising our voices and calling on companies like Amazon to cut plastic packaging -- and we're seeing results. After PIRG delivered more than 138,000 petition signatures, Amazon committed to phasing out plastic air pillows in North America.[3]

These achievements aren't ours -- they belong to supporters like you, John. Will you keep working with us to move beyond plastics? Donate now.

Plastic pollution is pervasive. It's in our oceans, our neighborhoods, even in the food we eat. Every pellet, bottle, and bag takes centuries to break down.

Right now, plastic is everywhere, but so is our power to stop it. When we come together, we can push back against the tide of plastic pollution.

We can win cleaner communities, stronger plastic commitments from corporations, and better policies to reduce single-use plastics.

Will you continue the work to move beyond plastics with us? Make your year-end gift now.
