The year ahead could be one of the most consequential years ever for our national parks and other public lands and waters. The Trump administration's attacks on public lands are ramping up to a fever pitch and they are planning a deliberate dismantling of our national parks system.
While our parks have already lost about a quarter of their permanent staff, in 2026, we could see even more dismissed rangers and trail medics, more services collapsing, more of our national treasures falling into disrepair.
Sierra Club is fighting back in court, in Congress, and we're mobilizing our movement on the ground — but with just two days left in the year, we need your help to hit the ground running to defend our parks in the new year. These parks belong to all of us, and it will take all of us to protect them.
