The race for governor here in Minnesota has changed a lot over the past few months, so we wanted to share a quick round-up of our opponents and where they stand.
Before we get into it, we have to let you know about our end-of-year fundraising deadline. Can you chip in to help us reach our $100,000 goal by midnight Wednesday?
First up is Lisa Demuth. She’s the current Speaker of the Minnesota House and the highest ranking Republican in state government. We can’t underestimate her far-right agenda that would raise costs, underfund our schools, and ban abortion.
Then there’s Scott Jensen, who Tim beat back in 2022. He’s running to promote the same dangerous kind of health misinformation he ran on last time, except now he’s emboldened by RFK Jr. and the Trump administration. We can’t let their movement grow on our watch.
Lastly there’s Mike Lindell — the MyPillow CEO, 2020 election denier, and MAGA extremist. Trump backed Lindell’s campaign right away, meaning he has access to a huge national platform. We’ve seen what happens when we elect a con man to the highest office in America, and we can’t let it happen here in Minnesota.
The bottom line is this: we can’t underestimate this Republican field. We have to be ready to run hard against whoever they nominate.
