Here’s where you come in

Sheldon Whitehouse Senator for Rhode Island

Friend,

A recent Washington Post analysis found that 100 of the richest Americans now account for nearly 1 in every 13 dollars spent in federal elections.

The top 20 billionaire donors poured almost $5 billion into American politics over the past decade.

A lot of the big money sloshing around in our elections is hidden from public view — it’s dark money that never gets disclosed.

Billionaires have broken the system, and I’m fighting to fix it. We need to put an end to special interests corrupting our elections with unlimited anonymous cash.

These mega-donors are buying influence to make Washington work for them. Big Oil. Wall Street. They expect something in return for their investments.

I don't take corporate PAC money. My campaign runs on support from people like you, people who chip in what they can because they believe in standing up to the fossil fuel industry, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and fighting for working families.

Can you chip in to help me keep up this fight? Your contribution helps prove that people-powered campaigns can compete against the billionaire machine.

This matters. The fossil fuel industry and their Republican allies in Congress are not going to stop coming after clean energy, health care, and the programs that underpin the middle class. I need you standing with me.

Thank you for being part of this,

Sheldon Whitehouse
