Dear 350Brooklyn Members,

Despite it being a difficult year, we fought hard! From championing the NY Heat Act in Albany to bringing a climate message to the Mermaid Parade—we raised our voices and brought joy to all of our work. Please enjoy finding your own activism with 350Brooklyn in some of our accomplishments below.

And it's never too late to consider donating to 350Brooklyn this year. As a hyper-local, small-budgeted project every single donation makes a huge impact!

2025 Year in Review

We fought for new climate laws

  • We championed the NY Heat Act to curb the expansion of gas infrastructure, lower our utility rates and bolster a green economy

  • We promoted the Sunny Act to bring small scale solar to every New Yorker

We fought against pipelines

  • We marched, submitted comments and made calls to try and prevent the Williams NESE Pipeline. While Hochul greenlit the project, more people than ever are aware of the danger the pipeline poses.

We pushed our Brooklyn electeds on climate

  • We made a dozen lobby visits to local Brooklyn Assembly Members and State Senators

  • We participated in 13 statewide call relays, four Albany visits, and supported six local NYC rallies, including marshaling

  • Our Power Hour Crew made hundreds of calls, written testimony, emails and comments

We launched new projects!

  • We launched a new workgroup called Facing the Future with the goal of organizing a series of talks, workshops, tours, and conversations about building resilience in NYC in the face of the climate crisis. We’ve thus far hosted 3 events, exploring topics such as microplastics, flooding and fashion.

We tied our local action to larger developments that threaten progress on climate

  •  We joined 4 major marches to protect the planet, including March for the Planet in April, No Kings in June, No Billionaires in September, and No Kings in October

We built new connections and brought joy to our climate work

  • We celebrated 10 years of organizing together at a May birthday party

  • We danced and paraded for climate at the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island

  • We collaborated with Songwriter Sundays in McCarren Park to bring music and activism together in July

We educated and we learned

  • Climate Check: Stories and Solutions, our monthly podcast, produced another 6 cutting-edge podcasts on topics from trash to sustainable transportation.

  • We participated in SunDay, celebrating the sun and all things solar

  • Our Plastic-Free dropped into more than a dozen local coffee shops during its monthly Cafe Crawls, working to persuade them to reward customers who bring their own cups

Thank you for your commitment to this organization and we look forward to continuing our fight in 2026 – together and strong.

With hope,
