Dear John,
Yesterday, a Planned Parenthood affiliate finally admitted what we have all long-known to be true: their founder, Margaret Sanger, was a racist.
Sanger, who founded the organization which would eventually become Planned Parenthood in 1921, was heavily involved in the eugenics movement and had well-documented racist views and motivations.
While the national organization for Planned Parenthood has historically stood in strong defense of their controversial founder, the affiliate Planned Parenthood of Greater New York announced this week that they were removing Sanger’s name from its New York City clinic, citing “…Planned Parenthood’s contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color.”
While admitting the historical roots of the organization is significant, as Rev. Dean Nelson, executive director of Human Coalition Action, and Benjamin Watson, former NFL player and Human Coalition Advisory Board member, explained on Fox News, the larger problem is that the racism-fueled vision Sanger had is still being carried out in Planned Parenthood clinics today.

Thank you for your continued partnership to fight against the racism playing out in the abortion industry every day.
For Life,
Brian Fisher,
President
