Hi, Sister District DC/VA Volunteers!
First, thank you to everyone who donated to, or attended our fundraiser for Deb Ciamacca! As of right now, we have raised over $9,000 for Deb's campaign! To learn more about Deb, check out this Time Magazine article she wrote on gun violence in 2018.
We have more opportunities to make a difference this week! We have our weekly phonebank TONIGHT at 6:30-- hope you'll join us!
We'll also be making calls from 3-5pm on Sat, July 24 for Democrat Jonathan Kassa, who is running to flip a seat in Pennsylvania's House of Representatives. We're having a yoga instructor join in and guide us through some stretches during the breaks!
Phonebanking is one of the most effective ways to get out the vote! If you haven't phonebanked before, don't worry--experienced volunteers will be there to train you and help out.
We've had an amazing turnout for our phonebanks -- we've called more than 2,600 voters so far for in PA! And we've introduced dozens of voters to Jonathan, found undecided voters, and helped the campaign clean its list by removing wrong and disconnected numbers.
Phone banking works, especially during the pandemic!! We're only 9 states away from flipping the PA statehouse, so every call helps!
