We’re launching our scorecard to track what legislators support the facial recognition ban.

John,

Do your members of Congress support the bill to ban facial recognition?

Check out our new facial recognition scorecard and send your representatives a message to co-sponsor the federal facial recognition ban!

This bill is our chance to stop this racist, inaccurate, and dangerous technology from spreading to all corners of our lives—and honestly if we don’t pass it now we’re not going to get another chance for a while. It’s critical that we build up as much support for it as possible NOW while momentum is on our side.

Right now, that means getting members of Congress to sign on to co-sponsor the legislation. There are still a bunch of legislators who haven’t signed on but who we know agree that facial recognition should be banned. And other legislators just haven’t engaged on this issue yet, but would have to if they felt enough public pressure from their constituents.

That’s where you come in. Our scorecard is set up so you can see if your members of Congress have already co-sponsored the bill or not, and so you can Tweet them to tell them to get on board!

And if you don’t have Twitter, you can also send a message directly to your representatives asking them to ban facial recognition.

I can’t stress this enough: we need to keep making noise on facial recognition to make sure we can pass this bill, ban facial recognition, and keep all of us safe from this dangerous tech.

Together, and against facial recognition,

Caitlin at Fight for the Future
