John, we expected to see headlines like this:

Breaking News: About $5.4 million Americans lost health insurance in the pandemic, more than have ever lost coverage through job losses in a year, an analysis found. - The New York Times

But what have Trump and the Republicans done in response? In the middle of a pandemic, they’ve asked the Supreme Court to terminate the Affordable Care Act -- a decision that would see up to 20 million more Americans lose their health insurance. It’s a complete disgrace.

I’ve stood with my colleagues in the House to make sure we not only protect the ACA, but strengthen it. We responded to this crisis by passing legislation to reduce prescription drug prices and expand Medicaid coverage for millions of Americans. We also strengthened protections for pre-existing conditions.

No one should have to worry about how they can afford to see a doctor or receive care -- let alone during a global pandemic. My opponent doesn’t get that. In fact, he’s already made it clear he plans to tow the Trump line and vote to strip away health care.
I’m being called one of the Republicans’ top offense targets in their efforts to retake the House and destroy the ACA. Can you chip in $3 or more so we can keep fighting to protect health care access in this country? >> [link removed]

The stakes are too high to lose ground in the House. Lives are on the line, and we can’t allow Trump and his allies to deprive people of health insurance.

Thanks for standing with me,

Mike
