Dear John,
Happy almost New Year, and welcome to 2026!
January is always a moment to pause, reset, and look ahead — and this one feels especially meaningful to me. This month marks one full year of hosting the Lunch & Learn program, a role I truly love. These conversations have become a highlight of my work and a steady source of inspiration, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who shows up each month with curiosity, care, and commitment.
As the Maine Legislature enters the second half of the 132nd session, we’re kicking off the year with a focused conversation about what’s ahead and how environmental advocates are working together to meet this moment. Our January Lunch & Learn will spotlight the shared priorities guiding advocacy during the 2026 legislative session.

Friday, January 23, 12-1 PM: Setting the Agenda | Environmental Priorities for Maine’s 2026 Legislative Session
Join us for an overview of the Maine Environmental Priorities Coalition's [[link removed]] [[link removed]] agenda for the year ahead. Nick Janzen, Partnerships Director, and Sarah Woodbury, Legislative Director at Maine Conservation Voters/Alliance, along with other EPC advocates, will outline key legislative priorities — including Climate Superfund, Energy Fairness, Wabanaki Sovereignty, Land for Maine’s Future, conservation funding, and more.
Convened and facilitated by Maine Conservation Alliance, the EPC brings together 41 conservation, climate action, and public health organizations working in partnership to protect Maine’s natural resources, advance environmental justice, and build healthy, resilient communities statewide.

Thank you for being part of this community and for continuing to invest your time and energy in learning, connection, and action. I’m so excited to keep hosting these conversations as we move through 2026 together, and I hope you’ll join us on January 23.
— Maggie
