Friends,
Congressman John Lewis was an American hero. And in the wake of his death, we should all be fighting even harder to further the causes he championed.
Unfortunately Mitch McConnell has offered empty gestures -- calling Lewis “great” while actively opposing the Voting Rights Advancement Act, Lewis’s legislative legacy.
Senator Kamala Harris won’t stand for it.
[A tweet from @KamalaHarris reads: To honor John Lewis’ life and legacy, I’m calling on Mitch McConnell to immediately bring the Voting Rights Advancement Act to the Senate floor for a vote and the Senate should name it the John Lewis Voting Rights Act of 2020.]

We’re with Kamala.
Too many Democrats have been silent on voter suppression. We’re demanding that McConnell truly honor Lewis and seize this opportunity to protect the voices of millions of disenfranchised Americans. If you agree that John Lewis’s mission shouldn’t die with him, please, help us call for action now.
