* Mobilize our thousand-person membership base of Northern Manhattan residents, New Yorkers, and environmental justice advocates across the country to fight for environmental equality and improve the health of our communities.
* Hold our state leaders accountable to ensure we meet our climate goals set forth in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, meeting critical emissions targets by 2030 and 2050.
* Develop a comprehensive city-wide environmental justice action plan to close the gap on environmental health disparities, expand environmental benefits and investments to environmental justice communities, and ensure access and inclusion to planning and decision-making processes.

* Fight to protect the National Environmental Protection Act, the landmark national environmental protection law that ensures the government looks at how federal projects like highways and pipelines affect the environment and communities before they’re approved.
* Advocate for tougher state laws restricting toxic chemicals in beauty products and other personal care products.
* Facilitate the Environmental Justice Leadership Forum (EJ Forum), a national coalition of 40 environmental justice organizations across 23 states working together to advance climate justice and impact policy to ensure the health and well-being of communities of color and low-income communities throughout the U.S.
