John, this email is going to be a little more direct than usual.

With just three days to go until our biggest fundraising deadline of the year, we’re asking you to pitch in $3 before midnight tonight [[link removed]] to make sure Team Shapiro kicks off the new year on the right foot.

But if you’re not sure, or you need a little more context before chipping in, here are three reasons we hope will convince you:

1. Pennsylvania is the most competitive state in the nation — bar none. More often than not, our elections come down to just a few percentage points, John. That means just a handful of votes could be the difference between a government that actually delivers results — or a far-right takeover.

3. Josh is putting money back in people’s pockets. The Trump Administration is doing… the opposite. While the President’s reckless policies jack up the cost of groceries, health care, and everything else, the far-right is marching in lockstep behind him. Josh Shapiro on the other hand? He’s cut taxes seven times, putting more money back in Pennsylvanians’ pockets.

5. We have to close our fundraising books at the end of the year — and soon after, everyone will see our numbers. Listen, we wish money didn’t have such an outsized role in our elections. But right now, it does — and you can bet Donald Trump, JD Vance, and all their far-right allies will be looking very closely at our data. That means we can’t show any weakness. We have to prove that Team Shapiro is a force to be reckoned with.
