Newsom just conceded defeat over High-Speed Rail. He's withdrawn the lawsuit he filed after we cut off federal funding earlier this year. Now the $4 billion in federal funds that he wanted to waste on the train can go to our roads.
Notably, when Newsom filed the lawsuit, he claimed I was "lying" about the nonexistent bullet train. Now, just as he’s been forced to admit we were right all along, he’s accused me of lying again in calling California the Fraud Capital of America. "Kiley is wrong," he asserted.
Yet as I noted on the Ingraham Angle, it was the nonpartisan State Auditor who found Newsom has squandered tens of billions. RedState then published an articleheadlined: "Kiley Owns Newsom With Receipts That CA Is the True Fraud Capital of America."
The reason Newsom is wildly attacking me is we’ve just exposed the fraud in California as far worse than even Minnesota. A segment I did for Newsmax has racked up tens of millions views and was shared by President Trump; you can also read my NY Post op-ed here.
We also recently learned an astounding one-third of community college applications in California are fake. They're just used for financial aid fraud. Following our letter to the Secretary of Education, the Department is now implementing new identify verification requirements.
This is one of many ways we are not only exposing Newsom’s fraud but actively stopping it. The House opened an investigation into Newsom’s EDD fraud; several indictments have been issued in connection with homelessness fraud; and of course, the High-Speed Rail spigot is now off.
Elsewhere, I appeared on Fox News to present a grand bargain to restore sanity to American elections: Ban gerrymandering nationwide. Require Voter ID nationwide. I’ll be working to get this passed in the year ahead.
