Hi there,
Andy Biggs and his fellow Republicans are coming for your healthcare. Again.
Biggs is leading a conservative push to let Affordable Care Act subsidies expire at the end of this month. He's calling it a "free-market healthcare framework." What it really means: tens of millions of Americans will see their premiums skyrocket, and Republicans have no real plan to replace what they're taking away.
Republicans like Biggs have been trying to repeal the ACA since it was signed into law in 2010. They've failed every time because Americans see through their plans: strip away protections, throw millions off healthcare, and offer nothing concrete in return.
Now Biggs is trying again — and he's enlisted Eli Crane to co-sign his letter to Speaker Johnson.
Here's what Biggs is proposing: Let the ACA subsidies expire, arguing they've "inflated healthcare costs" and "expanded federal dependency." Replace them with expanded Health Savings Accounts and "market competition."
Sound familiar? It's the same failed approach Republicans have pushed for 15 years.
Here's the reality: If enhanced ACA subsidies expire without a replacement, thousands of Arizonans currently relying on them will see premiums rise sharply. A 60-year-old couple making $80,000 would see costs jump from $567 to $2,026 per month — an increase of about $17,500 annually!
Chip in to help us stop Biggs and defend healthcare for Arizona families.
Biggs concluded his letter with the following: "If we plant our flag now, we can rebuild a healthcare system that reflects true conservative principles."
Here's what "conservative principles" really means: higher premiums, less coverage, and more uncertainty for Arizona families.
We're not letting it happen without a fight.

Thank you,
