New Pennsylvania Project

Team –

I am reaching out to thank you for your support this past year and for your continued support as we ramp up for the critical federal and state elections in 2026. We couldn’t do this without you.

A message from NPP founding CEO Kadida Kenner

Your support enabled the following achievements in 2025.

Digital Engagement:

  • Launched “Slingshot The Podcast” in March airing biweekly episodes.
    • As podcast host, I bring my background as a former sports television producer and director, and current civil and voting rights organizer to each episode. Offering fresh perspectives on civic engagement, justice, and power is where bold conversations meet culture, politics, entertainment and sports.
    • The podcast is available to listeners on YouTube and major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple, etc.
    • Engaged constituents through biweekly e-Blasts, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, X).

Civic Education & Engagement:

  • Hosted 39 “Why Courts and Judicial Elections Matter” presentations and traveled throughout the Commonwealth as a part of the “Why Courts Matter Roadshow.”
  • Hosted more than 50 civic engagement events across the Commonwealth, providing education around the state judiciary, voting rights, and democracy issues.

Mobilization:

  • Mobilized voters to the polls during the two-week Get-Out-The-Vote program for the November general election (10/22 - 11/3).
    • More than 15,000 doors knocked in Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks, Beaver, Allegheny, Erie, York, Dauphin, Lehigh, and Northampton counties with an impressive 15.53% contact rate at the doors.
    • Ran a full-page print advertisement in the Sunday 10/26/25 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
  • Sent staff to more than 20 precincts across the Commonwealth as poll greeters on Election Day, encouraging voters to vote YES on judicial retention.

With your help, in November, we saw historic statewide voter turnout at 42%, compared to 37% turnout in the last municipal, judicial, and local election in 2023!

Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
