Get ready, Friend, because we’re entering a new era.
If 2025 taught us anything, it’s that the politics of the past — of division, greed, and cruelty — will not win working-class people over at the ballot box or deliver the livable future we deserve.
Here’s what actually wins: A strong, people-powered movement for more affordable, livable, and safe neighborhoods.
We’re getting ready for this new era of hope and action by setting an ambitious and critical goal to raise $15,000 between now and December 31st to scale up our organizing and coalition-building power in 2026.
Will you give an early gift of $25, $30, or any amount that’s meaningful to you to make sure we have enough of the resources we need to hit the ground running in the new year?
Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral win this year is a testament to our movement, and the grassroots organizations who built it brick-by-brick are about to have an unprecedented seat at the table.
A single administration or elected official can’t do the job alone. It's going to take a groundswell of movement energy and resources to enact policies that will make our cities and neighborhoods more affordable, healthier, and safer.
While strong movements can win, we know how we achieve those victories is more complicated.
This year, we’ve also seen a major dip in funding — not just for our organization but across the movement as a whole. Trump’s authoritarian regime is creating an environment of fear by targeting philanthropies who fund progressive groups, impacting the entire movement’s ability to organize quickly and at scale.
While it’s not impossible to do, it is much harder.
During a time of high uncertainty and fear, we rely on grassroots supporters like you to help us get the resources we need to knock doors, hold trainings, and build working-class power across the neighborhoods we organize in.
Enacting a rent freeze for 2 million rent-stabilized tenants, building more energy-efficient affordable housing, and protecting our immigrant neighbors against an authoritarian government are all possible. We know we can win all of this and more — but we have to demand it.
Demanding what our communities deserve takes money, time, and people. We’re only able to do so with your continued support.
Before the new year, will you rush a gift toward our $15,000 year-end goal? Any amount you can give goes towards winning a livable future for all of us.
Our movement is only as strong as our organizing — and your support keeps us on the ground day after day. As always, thank you for being in this movement with us.
In solidarity,
Olivia Leirer
