We get a lot of angry mail at Public Citizen.

Here are just a few examples:

• “You are the lowest form of life in America.”

• “Move to China or Russia. This is not where you belong.”

• “People like you deserve to be behind bars.”

• “You should be hanged for treason.”

• “You have no decency, no morals, no values. You are anti-American. You need to be removed, permanently.”

• “Your days are swiftly running out if you are against us.”

• “Keep causing trouble and we will start shooting.”

There is more — a lot more — that is even worse.

We’re not sharing this to shock you (though some of it *is* shocking) or because we’re intimidated. We’re sharing it because we think it’s important to be aware of what we’re actually up against as we work together to counteract Donald Trump’s attempt to impose authoritarianism upon the American people.
