I want to be direct with you about where things stand right now.
This year has been hard for nonprofits across the board, and, unfortunately, we’re no exception.
Here’s the situation: We need to raise $150,000 by midnight on Dec. 31 to keep key programs on track, and we’re not there yet. I wish I could say this was just about hitting a number, but the stakes are higher than that.
If we can’t close the gap soon, I’ll have to make some tough calls about potentially scaling back our organizing work, pressing pause on our powerful Deadly By Design storytelling project, or cutting back on our work to hold lawmakers accountable when they vote against public safety.
The good news is that if everyone reading this donates what they can—whether that’s $10 or $10,000—we’ll close the gap. It’s that simple.
