Now Ellison is attempting a hostile takeover of Warner Bros., the corporate owner of CNN, and he’s teaming up with Rupert Murdoch as part of a group trying to buy TikTok, the world’s largest social media platform.
Let’s be clear. There was never a time when the corporate media represented the interests of everyday people like you and me. They were always focused on their own profits to the exclusion of everything else.
But what becomes of democracy when Trump-backed billionaires control every major source of news and information?
