John,
We have some exciting news: Victory Fund has officially broken our 2018 endorsement record! We just released our July endorsement slate and are now supporting a record-breaking 282 candidates for the 2020 cycle – the most in our 29-year history. And we're not done yet - that number will continue to grow over the coming months. Here's the latest update on Victory Fund's numbers:

When I first ran for office, LGBTQ candidates were an anomaly. Now, Victory Fund is tracking over 880 races around the country. It's a testament to Victory Fund's work as the political arm of the LGBTQ movement that so many LGBTQ candidates are stepping up to run. But with more candidates on the ballot, we need more resources than ever. Will you make a generous donation to support our essential work? [[link removed]]

As more LGBTQ people run, they're reaching out to Victory Fund for our endorsement. We continue to offer a diverse range of candidate services and were able to help campaigns pivot as the pandemic changed campaigning earlier this year. Right now, we are building a new pipeline of state and local candidates who will one day run for even higher offices. But to build this pipeline and offer these services, we need your financial support. Chip in today to help us keep working. [[link removed]]
While presidential cycles are always a roller coaster, this year has been particularly volatile. But when the news gets dark, remember that hundreds of LGBTQ people are going to change our government this November and make history on Election Day. And that's something to celebrate.
Thank you again for your support,
Mayor Annise Parker

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
