You Can Bring Hope to Families Like Doris's

Dear John,

As many of us are thinking about gatherings, food, and time with loved ones, millions of older adults are focused on something more urgent—whether they can afford a meal at all.

This was the case for Doris and her husband who had recently taken in their young grandson. Living on a fixed income, the added cost of caring for another person was stretching their budget to the breaking point. With support from one of our community partners, they were prescreened for SNAP and assisted with completing their application providing hope and a bit of breathing room heading into the holidays. As Doris stated, “I’m a little more hopeful now about Christmas dinner.”

Doris’s story is just one example of the difference that you can make. Your gift today ensures that we can be there for others in need.

Will you join us in making a difference this holiday season?

Thanks to NCOA’s Board, if you donate $75 or more before midnight on December 31, your gift will be matched 1:1, doubling your impact for older adults everywhere.

Yes, I will make my gift
