Email from Rep. Tenney Congresswoman Tenney's Weekly Newsletter   Have Questions? Contact Me Here Merry Christmas! As we celebrate Christmas across Upstate New York, families and communities throughout NY-24 are coming together to reflect on the blessings of the season. Christmas is a time for gratitude, faith, and renewal, and a reminder of the values that bind us together: family, service, generosity, and hope. Whether gathered around the table, attending church, or spending quiet moments with loved ones, this season invites us to pause and appreciate what truly matters. To everyone across our district, thank you for the kindness, resilience, and spirit that make our communities so special. May this Christmas bring peace to your home, joy to your heart, and comfort to those in need. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. Coast Professional This week, I visited Coast Professional’s Geneseo office in Livingston County to tour the facility and meet with employees who are doing important work here in NY-24. Coast continues to invest in our region by creating high-quality jobs and partnering with federal and state agencies to deliver secure, reliable services. During the visit, we discussed workforce development, the company’s growth in Livingston and Wyoming Counties, and the importance of ensuring federal policies support employers who are creating opportunities in our communities. Engagements like this are essential to understanding how decisions made in Washington affect local employers and workers, and I remain committed to advocating for policies that allow businesses across Upstate New York to grow and succeed. Regiment 282's 1-year Anniversary Our team attended the first anniversary of Regiment 282 at the Francis M. Dalton Lima American Legion Post, a powerful community-driven effort focused on supporting veterans and preventing suicide through connection, camaraderie, and purpose. Our team presented a certificate recognizing the impact this program is making in Livingston County. Regiment 282 brings veterans together through innovative peer engagement, including gaming, mentorship, and access to mental health and career resources, ensuring no veteran faces their struggles alone. This program has become a model of what local leadership and service can accomplish, and Livingston County’s zero veteran suicide rate over the past three years speaks volumes. We are grateful for the continued partnership with Regiment 282 and the American Legion, and I will continue to support initiatives that stand by our veterans, strengthen the community, and save lives. Eagle Scout Court of Honor Our team attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Andrew Lokken and Casey Cronin of Ontario Troop 60, celebrating an achievement that represents years of dedication, leadership, and service. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout reflects strong character, commitment to community, and a willingness to lead by example. It was a pleasure for our team to meet both Scouts and their troop leaders, speak during the ceremony, and present congressional certificates recognizing their hard work and accomplishments. Andrew and Casey’s achievement is a testament to their hard work, and the support of their families, mentors, and Troop 60. Internship Opportunities My office is accepting applications for internships in both our Washington, D.C., and district offices. Interns play an important role in serving the people of NY-24, whether it’s assisting constituents, conducting legislative research, or supporting community outreach. This is a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand experience in public service, learn how Congress works, and make a real impact on our district.
