Hi, if we’re not investing in our families, we’re failing them.

I wanted to share with you about one of the most pressing issues families all across our state are facing: the cost of childcare. Just two weeks ago I visited a childcare center in Waunakee and made my position loud and clear that we need universal childcare in Wisconsin.

With the average cost of childcare at $13,000 per year, Republican leadership in our legislature has failed working families by refusing to address this urgent issue.

We need to do more.

Supporting universal childcare and increased training for childcare workers is investing in Wisconsin’s future, supporting families, and growing the economy.

As Governor, I’ll be ready to step up to the challenge. Next year, we have the chance to build a Democratic trifecta for the first time in a decade — and deliver on the bold vision our campaign is calling for.

But the truth is, I can only do this with the help of grassroots supporters across Wisconsin.
