Hi John,

This is Cisco Aguilar, Nevada’s Secretary of State – the state’s top election official.

In 2022, Nevadans elected me to this office after I defeated one of the most extreme election deniers in the country – in a razor-tight race decided by fewer than 25,000 votes. It was a close and hard-fought election, and it showed just how much pressure our democracy is under.

Since then, I’ve focused on doing the job Nevadans trusted me to do.

That has meant a lot of work on modernization, innovation, and transparency. We’ve implemented a new election management system with the latest in technology and cybersecurity; started to replace our outdated corporate filings system; and made things easier for small business owners in Nevada. We even cut hold times when you call the office from 45 minutes to under 5!

We’ve also worked to improve the basics: strengthening our election systems, supporting county clerks and local officials, and pushing back against misinformation meant to confuse or intimidate voters.

Now, I’m up for re-election.

Because Nevada is a swing state, the pressure on our election system is always high – and extremists have shown they’re willing to exploit that. The person elected Secretary of State this year will be responsible for running the 2028 election

Imagine an election-denier in this role. That’s not a hypothetical we can afford to test. And in a swing state like Nevada, the consequences could truly influence the outcome of the presidency.

That’s why I’m reaching out today:

If you believe in fair, secure, and accessible elections, I’m asking you to split a donation between my campaign and the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State. This will be one of the most consequential statewide races in 2026, and your $3 support helps us build the operation we need to win.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you,

Cisco
