I’ll be honest…this is a bit of a longer email.

There’s no denying that this year had its highs and lows.

We’re just 11 months into Donald Trump’s 2nd term, and he’s already wreaked havoc on our institutions, our democracy, and our communities. Millions of people are entering the new year without healthcare, a home they can afford, or food on the table after he and his MAGA cronies slashed essential programs like SNAP and Medicare.

But we also saw exactly what happens when folks stand up against it. This past November, Trump was dealt MAJOR losses in critical races across Virginia, New York, and New Jersey as voters rejected his illegal power grabs and assaults on our rights.

Where we go from here — what happens in 2026 — is entirely up to us.

We have the opportunity to take that momentum to the next level — keeping far-right extremism out of Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, electing our next Democratic Governor, and simultaneously flipping Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional district blue and taking back the House majority.

Or we can resign ourselves to the authoritarian power grabs of the Trump administration and their attacks on our families, communities, and democracy.

For us, the answer is obvious: we’re going to fight like hell to protect all the progress we’ve made and ensure that no Wisconsinite is left behind.

But for a lot of folks out there, their decision to make it to the ballot box or stay home on Election Day depends entirely on us.

If we can fully fund our 2026 voter outreach campaign and communicate our vision for a better future, we’ll be that much closer to securing blue victories up and down the ballot and issuing a critical check on Donald Trump’s authoritarian agenda. But we can only do it together.

That’s why WisDems is launching our final fundraising campaign of 2025 to raise $100,000 before the clock strikes midnight on January 1st. Strength in numbers is how we defeated Elon Musk and his MAGA millions earlier this year, and it’s how we’ll come out on top in April, and then November, come 2026.
