I’m shaking hands with former Ohio U.S. Senator (and astronaut) John Glenn as I receive my Eagle Scout award. At the time, it was the proudest moment of my life – and frankly, it still ranks pretty high on that list!

The values I learned as a scout – integrity, leadership, and service – have shaped who I am and why I’m in this fight: to make our country a place where everyone can thrive.

But I need your help to win a fight this big and important, friend. We’re facing an uphill battle in this Senate race, and corporate special interests are gearing up to spend millions to defeat me. The only way I can overcome the odds is with folks like you by my side.

Perhaps the most well-known value I learned as a scout was "be prepared" – so today, I'm asking you to help me prepare for all the dark money and attacks ahead.
