Hi John,
In just a few short weeks, state legislatures across the country will convene — and with them will come a wave of bills that will shape the future of reproductive rights.
In 2026, we have the opportunity to increase public funding for abortion, protect health data privacy, and advance birth justice and maternal health. For example: -
In Minnesota — where 1 in 4 clinics have closed since 2023 — we’re working alongside our partners to advocate for the state to create a $30 million Reproductive Health Equity Fund to keep clinics open. Minnesota is considered an access state for abortion care, but due to insufficient reimbursement rates, clinics are being forced to close at an alarming rate.
-
In New York, we are working with data privacy experts to advance legislation that will protect private health and consumer data from being used by anti-abortion politicians and their law enforcement allies in states with abortion bans to track and prosecute patients and providers.
-
In Alabama, we are partnering with a collective of Black-led birth workers and mutual aid organizations to remove barriers to culturally competent doula and midwifery care — a proven way to reduce maternal and infant mortality. It’s a model we hope to use in other states to ensure that everyone can have the birthing experience they need and deserve.
The Fighting Forward Fund will ensure we can stay ahead of the well-funded opposition as they work to push reproductive health care even further out of reach. Your support will help us mobilize to protect abortion access, birth justice, and the right to keep your private health information secure. Donate today to ensure your gift goes 2x as far thanks to a generous matching challenge! And because so many of you seemed to like our stickers, we’re extending our gift and sending them to everyone who donates before December 31. |
Double your impact today and power reproductive freedom in 2026. Thank you for being in this with us, |
