I'm Angela. I'm a mom of four wonderful kids, a lifelong community organizer, and I have the honor of leading the badass group of volunteers that make up Moms Demand Action.

As the grassroots arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, the volunteers of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action work tirelessly, day in and day out, to end the gun violence crisis plaguing our communities. They're on the frontlines, pushing for lifesaving legislation that would help keep us safe and mobilizing to ensure politicians prioritize keeping our children safe ahead of gun industry interests.

• In Rhode Island, after 12 years of hard work, we helped pass an assault weapons ban.
• In Colorado, we passed innovative legislation that requires a permit to purchase assault weapons and will help serve as a blueprint in other states.
• In California, we helped pass a first-in-the-nation bill banning the sale of pistols that can easily be converted into machine guns, and we passed legislation to ban machine gun conversion devices in red states like Alabama and Tennessee, bringing us to a total of 28 states that have taken action against convertible pistols.
