Meet Canan! 👋

“I started the Dry January® challenge because I wanted to take a step back and redefine my relationship with alcohol. I wasn’t expecting any major changes because I wasn’t a heavy drinker, but in just one month, I discovered a lot about myself.”

For Canan, having an alcohol-free month in January helped her discover so much about herself and her reasons for drinking. Read how she now drinks less frequently but more intentionally, using the Try Dry® app to assist her in ‘mindful drinking’.

** Warning!
------------------------------------------------------------

People who are clinically alcohol dependent can die if they suddenly, completely stop drinking. The Dry January® challenge may not be right for everyone. If you experience fits, shaking hands, sweating, seeing things that are not real, depression, anxiety, or difficulty sleeping after a period of drinking and while sobering up, then you may be clinically alcohol dependent and should NOT suddenly, completely stop drinking. But you can still take control of your drinking. Talk to a GP or your local community alcohol service who will be able to get help for you to reduce your drinking safely.
