Hi friends!
Starting something new in this moment isn’t easy.
This year, we relaunched Sunrise Harvard, building on the legacy of Fossil Fuel Divest Harvard and stepping into a new chapter of student-led climate organizing. At a moment when campus organizing is hard and the world feels heavy, choosing to begin again is an act of commitment.
Starting our hub in 2025 was just the first step.
Giving today means choosing to back students who are rebuilding climate organizing on campus, even when it’s hard. [[link removed]]
Over the past year, we’ve been focused on building strong relationships and laying the groundwork for a sustainable, powerful hub. We’ve organized mixers with climate organizers from other universities to strengthen cross-campus solidarity.
We organized to make polluters pay for the harm they’ve caused, fining oil and gas companies and putting that money into a Massachusetts superfund to protect our communities and climate . Also, we co-sponsored a town hall with the Cambridge City Council, engaging students in local fights like the push for safe and accessible bike lanes across the city.

Throughout all this work, we have been deeply supported by other Sunrise hubs across Massachusetts. Being in community with other hubs has reminded us what’s possible when we organize together.
We’re committed to continuing this work beyond 2025. In 2026, we plan to deepen our organizing, train new leaders, and take on bigger fights: on campus and in our community.
And we don’t want this to stop with us. We want to see new Sunrise hubs started across the country in 2026, students organizing, building power together, and carrying this movement forward.
However, we know that starting a hub takes time, care, and resources. It means training new leaders, hosting organizing spaces, and showing up consistently, even when it’s hard.
That’s where you come in. Your contribution helps us ramp up our work in 2026 and helps make it possible for new hubs to launch nationwide.
If you’re able, chip in today to support Sunrise hubs across the country and help us build what comes next. [[link removed]]
