It’s Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari from Phoenix, Arizona. I’m an Emerge alum, and the youngest woman in Congress.

Emerge is where I learned everything about running for office. How to fundraise. How to build a real organizing base. How to turn your community into your power. And it’s where I met the people who still keep me grounded and sane.

Now, I serve in Congress and represent one of the most diverse districts in the country — with 64 languages spoken, refugees, immigrant families, people just trying to survive Donald Trump’s cruelty — and every day I’m reminded how much it matters who sits in these seats.

That’s why Emerge matters. They don’t just train candidates, they train candidates who get it. Women who can campaign, govern, organize, clap back, and hold the line.

And they have the receipts: in 2025, Emerge women won at 77%, and first-time candidates were six times more likely to win.

A new generation of leadership doesn’t just appear out of nowhere. It comes from places like Emerge, and from people willing to invest in it.

But right now, Emerge is still short of their year-end goal. If they can’t close the gap, they’ll have to scale back their trainings for women who are ready to flip seats and defend our rights. So if you can, please donate before December 31 to help Emerge finish strong.
