In observance of the New Year's Eve holidays and City employee trainings, the Hurst Recreation Center and Hurst Tennis & Pickleball Center have have specialty hours and closures as follows:

 Daddy Daughter Dance
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for an unforgettable evening of dancing, photos, crafts, dinner, and more! The Daddy Daughter Dance is the perfect chance to dress up, hit the dance floor, and create memories you’ll treasure forever.
Tickets are $45 for a couple and $25 per additional daughter. Registration for this event opens online on Monday, December 29.

 Save the Date: Eggstravaganza
Thursday, March 26 | 5–7:30 p.m. Hurst Athletic Complex 2104 Precinct Line Road Hurst, Texas 76054
Save the date! The annual City of Hurst Eggstravaganza is on Thursday, March 26. Enjoy a FREE petting zoo, photos with Mr. Bunny, a tattoo booth, crafts, pony rides, and egg hunts! Food is available for purchase from one of our tasty vendors. Egg hunts are available for ages 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

 2026 Healthy Hurst Challenge: First 6
Begins Monday, January 5
Kick off 2026 with the First 6 Challenge and join the community in building healthier routines during the first six weeks of the year! This fun and motivating challenge focuses on nutrition, habits, and movement, encouraging better food choices, hydration, sleep, cardio, strength training, and goal setting. Participants will receive a 2026 Healthy Hurst Passport to log their progress. Everyone can earn stamps by attending free fitness classes, working out at the Hurst Recreation Center, completing biweekly weigh-ins, and engaging with our biweekly videos on social media. Stamps earned during the challenge and throughout the year count toward prize drawings. Raffles will be held at the end of each challenge, and every First 6 participant will receive a T-shirt. Join in, stay consistent, earn rewards, and start the year feeling stronger, healthier, and connected.

Join us at the Hurst Recreation Center for a variety of creative, affordable, and engaging classes! We offer different programs for all ages, so there’s something for the whole family.

Beginners Crochet Creations: Learn the art of crochet from the very first loop! By the end of this 4-week class, everyone will complete a mini-crochet project.
