John, I know your inbox is probably flooded with emails like this right now, so I’ll get right to the point.

I’m facing a major end-of-year deadline in just a few days, and our team is trying to raise another $10,000 before then. It’s the first deadline we’ve had since June where our fundraising numbers are publicly reported. Finishing the year strong is key to our success. Can I count on you to give a donation now to help meet our end-of-year goal?

After December 31st, this public reporting period is over and we will see where everyone running for governor – Democrat, Independent, and Republican – stands on fundraising.

It’s been six months since the last deadline, so this filing will be the first real snapshot of where the race stands and it is an important measure of success and support.

We’re gearing up for a very competitive race, and the difference could come down to which campaign has the resources needed to communicate with more Maine people. Maine is a large, rural state, and it costs us money and resources to get to cities and towns all across the state.

Over the past six months, I’ve traveled to all 16 counties, listening to Mainers about the issues that matter most to them—from the rising costs of housing, health care, childcare and property taxes to climate resilience and the state of our democracy.

No matter where I go in Maine, one thing is clear: our state faces big challenges that demand bold solutions, especially standing up to the Trump administration’s overreaches, attacks and cuts that are making challenges like health care affordability much worse.

So how do we get it done? With a leader who can hit the ground running from day one. I’m ready to be a strong, bold governor for all of Maine, and with your support, we can continue to build the momentum it will take to win this June.
