Meeting our $25,000 year-end goal really matters, because 2026 is gearing up to be one of the most consequential years ever for the environment.

The Trump administration is already preparing to open up an area bigger than half the size of the United States to offshore drilling. They’re pushing massive industrial expansion across millions of acres in Alaska. They’re even preparing to repeal the foundational EPA finding that greenhouse gases are a threat to human health — a move that would undermine virtually all federal rules to limit climate pollution.

Whether they succeed or not depends on how powerfully we respond. We need to be ready for the policy work ahead, with ALL OF OUR MEMBERS behind us.

Corporate polluters have spent years laying the groundwork to gain unprecedented access to our public lands and waters, to gut clean air and water safety standards, and to dismantle the agencies that keep them in line and hold them accountable.

The threats coming in January couldn’t be more serious:

• Trump’s EPA is expected to repeal the common-sense finding that greenhouse gases are harmful to human health and the environment — a move that would erase the federal government’s scientific and legal basis for virtually all its climate pollution limits.
• They’re preparing to weaken clean air protections by gutting the Clean Air for Parks Rule, making it easier for corporations to spew toxic pollution with little oversight, even near protected national parks.
• Mandated oil and gas lease sales, where energy companies bid on drilling rights on public land and waters are imminent, making this a critical chance to stop Trump from leasing huge swaths of U.S. waters to billionaire oil and gas execs for seismic blasting and drilling.

These threats are enormous. But our campaigns are working, Friend. Many of Trump’s plans are deeply unpopular, and he’s already had to back away from some of his most extreme proposals. But that only happens when there’s major public outcry.

If we keep up the pressure, we have a real chance to stop these plans from becoming reality. But we need everyone with us. Friend, your early renewal before midnight on December 31 is vital to our ability to fight back in 2026 — can we count on your support?
