Friend,
The white-nationalist rot in the Republican Party is seeping deeper and deeper.
In recent days, two Republican Members of Congress – both endorsed by AIPAC – crossed lines that would have been unthinkable not long ago.
Congressman Randy Fine, who previously said “‘Palestinian’ is just another word for demon,” branded “mainstream Muslims” a threat to the United States that we need to “destroy.” Congressman Andy Ogles, sharing a stage with a member of Germany’s far-right AfD party at a New York Republican gala, called for the deportation of migrants who don’t "worship our god."
The ethno-nationalist, dehumanizing logic used to justify mass suffering in Gaza is also corroding liberal democracy here at home – redefining who counts as human, who belongs and whose rights can be discarded. It’s an assault on our common humanity, and we know all too well where this leads.
As Jewish Americans, our history and our values compel us to fight this toxicity – but too many in our community are silent. If you want community leaders who’ll fight for your values, please consider a donation to help J Street today.
Every donation will be matched and get us closer to our goal >>

We are living through uncharted times, and the absence of the courage to push back against toxic voices on “your own side” has rarely been more glaring.
Again and again, Jewish history teaches the same lesson: The danger isn’t only extremism itself, but the silence of those who know better.
J Street exists to make a different choice. To ensure that Jewish leadership is defined by principles and values, not convenience – and that standing up for democracy, human dignity and peace is backed by real political power.
We don’t have right-wing megadonors funding that work, we have grassroots donors across the country giving voice to their values. Please chip in with a matched donation today >>

History doesn’t just judge what was said, it judges who spoke when it was easier to stay quiet. Whether it’s the course of politics in Israel or in the United States, we are called to speak out.
Yours,
