Patriot,

When the plane door opens at 1,200 feet, most people freeze.

Paratroopers don’t.

You step forward into the wind, the uncertainty, the danger — because the mission depends on it. You don’t wait. You don’t hesitate. You jump.

That mindset shaped everything in my life:

ROTC at Michigan State.

20 days’ notice to deploy to Iraq.

Leading missions to defeat ISIS.

Protecting thousands of Americans overseas.

And now — stepping into this race for Congress.

This campaign is another kind of jump. And the truth is: I’m standing at the door again.

Because tonight is my first-ever end-of-year fundraising deadline, and once that clock hits zero, the report becomes permanent. Unchangeable. Final. GREEN LIGHT IS LIT.

This deadline tells Washington whether a warfighter’s campaign has real strength behind it — or whether the political class writes us off before we get started.

I’ve fought for our country in war zones.

I’ll fight for you in DC.
